As part of our seasonal newsletter, our WA farmers will keep you in the loop for what’s in season this Winter to ensure you always know what to buy fresh.
Banana
Why not try a Carnarvon Sweeter Banana! Carnarvon Bananas take twice as long to grow as tropical bananas due to our sub-tropical climate, so they are sweeter and creamier. Bunches are harvested whole and shipped to the packing shed for packing. They are packed and cooled and then on the truck to reach Perth the next day. Bunches can weigh anything from 35 kg to 100kg. Pumpkin
Pumpkin is an extremely nutrient-dense food, meaning it is chock-full of vitamins and
minerals but low in calories.
A tip from Warren Grange Horticulture; if they’re strange, funky or otherwise different, give them a try. You might be surprised by their bold flavours!

Herbs
These simple green leafy plants are able to be grown all year round and are great to add flavour to lots of recipes.
In fact, why not try out this recipe by Mondo Meats butcher, Vince, and enjoy a delicious pesto tonight!
